3 reasons why you don’t want programs and documents on your computer – CISS Principle Cloud is Simple Stupid !

1. How many times you upgraded your computer and couldn’t find the license codes to programs that you bought a license for? Moving your programs from one computer to another is a long and tedious process. This can be avoided by using cloud or saas (software as service) applications. For example, instead of using MYOB on your computer, you can use it in the cloud or use Xero.
2.  Software compatibility. In today’s world, you buy a software to your ipad you will have to buy it again for your Samsung tablet. You buy a version of office to your windows 7 or windows 8 PC, you have to buy another license and a set of software to your Mac. This all can be avoided by using packages such as office 365 which is an office package in the cloud, accessed from your browser.
3. Documents, Documents, Documents. Where are my word, excel and pdf documents? On C: driver? Maybe D: drive or my work group drive? Sometimes it feels like that we’ve to work for our computers, not our computers for us. Get control over your files by using dropbox, box, PaperAct etc. DO NOT keep documents on your computer.

In summary, follow the CISS principle, Cloud is Simple Stupid. There are lots of tools to assist you in gaining control over ALL your documents.
